Mental Fitness Workout
At 12, Thriver co-founder Elise was diagnosed with severe double-curvature scoliosis, requiring two major spinal surgeries to straighten her spine with titanium rods and screws. She spent a year recovering and relearning how to walk and live independently. Elise now calls herself the literal iron woman!
This experience taught Elise critical life skills she hadn’t learned at school, most importantly, mental fitness and resilience.
Treat Mental Fitness Like Physical Fitness
We recognise the importance of prioritising exercise to benefit our physical health and fitness, and we don’t wait until we’re injured to start. So, why don’t we prioritise our mental fitness with the same proactive approach.
Determined to bridge this gap, she developed the “5 To Thrive” Mental Fitness Workout: a tangible, neuroscience-based toolkit designed to help us prioritise our greatest life asset, our brain and mind.
The Workshop
Life is unpredictable. Setbacks and hardships are inevitable, but with the right tools, we can navigate them with confidence and purpose.
Elise’s mission is to empower individuals and teams to thrive through challenges and seize opportunities in work and wider life.
During the Mental Fitness Workout Workshop, Elise shares her story and guides participants interactively through using the 5 To Thrive toolkit themselves. Teams leave with:
Bitesize – Practical – Impact
Perfect for:
- Conferences
- Team Days
- Leadership Events
- Festivals

Her words struck a chord with me. As a mum of two young children, I’ve recently been reading more about how our brains work, both theirs and mine, so hearing her perspective was both timely and inspiring.
If you ever get the chance to hear Elise speak, I highly recommend it!
Elise from The Mindset Development Group shared practical insights on quietening the noise – You know those talks that shift your perspective? This was one of them! I’ve come away...
